Ti si pianta un disco di rete...

Ho una coppia di dischi di rete.
collegati in ethernet e configurati per avere la copia di uno sull'altro.
sono fisicamente in due contenitori diversi e distanti. uno e' in cassaforte.
hanno scatole plastiche, marcate VENUS, e vendute da Computer Discount ( o dai CDCpoint) con il codice JJ.23.
la scatola e' da poco.
il chipset e' invece XIMETA, così come il software.
si e' piantanta la ventola di una delle due scatole.
inchiodata.
smonto e riporto indietro.
me lo cambiano.
pero' il sistema funziona così:
carichi un programmino su ogni computer della rete e questo ti permette di vedere i dischi per quello che sono virtualmente (una coppia di dischi in copia che vedi come un disco solo).
ogni scatola ha un suo lunghissimo codice e password che abilita ciascun computer a vederla (o meglio a vedere il disco che la scatola contiene).
cambiando la scatola cambia il codice. cambiando il codice il sistema non crede piu' che i due dischi siano in copia e dice che c'e' qualche problema. ci credo.
sono l'unico in Italia che ha montato questi contenitori come mirror ?
credo di si'.
forse anche l'unico al mondo, perche' in rete non c'è NIENTE !!
il sistema mi dice che i dischi abbisognano di un RESYNC.
ma i dischi sono gli stessi di prima.

mi scrivono:

"Unmount the drive from all computers, then mount the drive on one single computer, that should "resync" the drives (there wont be an indication in the software but you should see the ACT light constantly flashing on both drives). If you do not see the ACT light flashing or still see the "Need resync" message then you should "unbind" the mirror and do a full format on the mirror 3 disk. Afterwards you can recreate the mirror (mirror 1 should still have all your data since only the other disk was formatted), instead of using the "Add bind" option, you will use "add mirror" (right-click on mirror 1 and you should see that option), that will tell the software that you want to add a mirror to the drive that already has data on it. After you do the "Add mirror" wizard you should see the "need resync" message again, at which case you will follow what I first described above about having all computer unmounted and then just mounting the drive on one computer to start the resync process."

cioe' in pratica ricomincia da capo o quasi.
riformatto il nuovo case.
ci ha messo 15 ore a fare la copia di circa 130GB.
ora dice: "tutto OK".
sarà vero ?
